quick and easy centerpiece

I went in my back yard and snipped a couple of branches off a pine tree.

Stuck the branches into a clear, glass vase
and filled the vase with water...

Added some cranberries to the vase - they float!

And then topped with a couple of floating candles
that I found at Goodwill.

Ta-da!
Even looks pretty in the daytime when the candles aren't lit.

Vase ~ already had
Pine branches ~ free
Cranberries from a package ~ a few cents
Candles from Goodwill ~ $1

  1. Hi Melanie,
Sorry, I'm a little late in replying - you had asked me on my A Favorite Thing post this past weekend about a xmas tree shaped case I have for xmas miniatures (longest sentence known to man teehee!). My mom got it for me at a dollhouse miniature show many many years ago. I think it's so darling, thank you for noticing it and enjoying it too.
Love your tweak! So easy and looks so elegant and lovely.

    Happy week to you!

  3. Lovely both ways. Are the cranberries real or fake? The real ones here are very expensive! Have a wonderful day. Tammy

  4. How pretty. I love the floating cranberries. Also love that you only spent a dollar. Looks alot more expensive than that.
