the hallway is done

Remember this pretty vintage cabinet that I picked up last month when
I was in Cedarburg, Wisconsin? I told about it here.
Brian had said it'd be perfect for the red wall at the end of the
hallway, and he was right. (For once. Ha!)

Well...here's the completed look!

I found the sunburst mirrors at Pier 1 Imports. They had been out of stock
for a long time, so I was thrilled to find them back in the store.
I think they're perfect on the red wall.

The top of the table got beautified with a trio of cloches.
The little cloche in front with the sparkly musical note pin under it?
That pin was given to me for Christmas by my best friend when we were
only 9 or 10 years old. I love that I still have it. Even better ~ I love that my
childhood friend is still one of my favorite persons in my life.

I added a wicker basket full of books underneath the cabinet and
this little area is finally done.

  3. Perfect. Glad you found the mirrors. I love that size. We have a pier I here, just across the street from my gym and I'm going to take a peek. Are they heavy or lightweight?

    1. They're lightweight, Marla. I thought they'd be a little bigger from what I saw on the Pier 1 web site, but since they were smaller, two fit on the narrow wall just perfectly.

  10. Hi Melanie . . . Every now and then our husbands do have a great idea. Usually not in decorating, though, LOL. Your man did good :)
I have a wonderful husband, but he has no . . . did I say, no . . . clue when it comes to decorating. As long as the TV is setting in front of the couch . . . the house is perfect. That's his style, LOL.
Thank you so much for the lovely comment you left . . . but I think what you are in love with is probably the Beatles, me too :)
I am delighted that you like my collage, and thank you, so much.
    Your blogging sister, Connie :)

    1. My husband always says as long as he has a roof over his head and a comfy bed to sleep in, he's all good. He usually doesn't have an opinion on anything decorative. This was a first. lol

Not only do I love the Beatles, but honestly...I love your collage, too. :-)
