on the day that you were born

 ~ July 21, 1988 ~

 the angels got together
and decided to create a dream come true

So, they sprinkled moondust in your hair of gold
and star-light in your eyes of blue

My firstborn son, Phil would've been 28 years old today.
But, he is "forever 21". And forever loved and missed.

To read more about Phil, please take a look at the Dedication to Phil tab underneath my header.

  10. Our children, alive and past, will forever be in our hearts and mind! No one can understand the pain unless experienced it too. What an adorable child and wishing your memories are not always filled with pain but joy in the time you had together.

  11. This post is a lovely remembrance of your son, Melanie. I can't imagine what it's like to lose a child, but I know it must be the most difficult thing a parent would ever have to endure.
Blessings to you and your husband,
    Mary Alice

  16. AH Melanie, hugs. I know the grief never ends / it comes in waves over time. ( NOT from my own experience but my DIL lost a babe so between you and her and others I just have a vague sense that cannot even fathom the depths :(
