weekend fun

So much fun to get together with your loved ones, especially on a
 beautiful summer day.
Here's my Aunt Bunny (her real name is Yvonne - and she's only 3-1/2 years older than me!), my mom, and me - with squinty eyes from the sunshine.
My cousin called Bunny and I, "Blonde Peppermint Patty bookends"!

The three of us went out to lunch at: Check out the clever sculptures made from recyled material above the restaurant door.

The inside of the restaurant is funky, too. Foil balls on the ceiling and chandeliers made from colanders!

Saturday evening, we attended a surprise 40th birthday party for my cousin, David...

You know, you gotta be careful around cousins. Some of them are SUCH trouble makers! My cousin, Janice is a bad influence on me.

Not all is fun and games, however. Yard work still needs to be done. So thankful my son, Tim willingly helps out with the mowing.

Hard-working hubby doing the trimming.

We finished off the weekend by enjoying dinner, fresh raspberry iced tea, and Backgammon (I'm a geek!) on the patio.

  1. What a fun weekend! I love that first picture of the "bookends"!

  2. Your garden is looking good. Mine is looking tired from the heat already.

  3. It sounds like it was all good family fun! Your yard and garden look beautiful. It makes me want to go out and weed {almost}!! How about this heat?!

  4. What family fun! I didn't realize that your Aunt bunny was so near your own age. How fun is that!!

  5. Did you and Aunt Bunny plan on wearing almost the same shirts? Too cute. Loved seeing a little of your yard.

We have the same backgammon set. I have had mine for an eternity. Jos and I play Acey-Ducey with it.

    Hugs from Holland ~

  6. What a wonderful post I felt your joy with every word and photo.Thinking of you and leaving some ♥ on your blog, have a happy weekend!
P.S. I wish I could find such lovely treasures on my yard sale trips

Thank you for taking the time to leave a kind comment - I read and appreciate each one!
