A new rooster joined the flock on top of the refrigerator.
Say hello to Mr. Blue with White Polka Dots.
I found him at HomeGoods, and bonus ~ on clearance!
Another fun thing and total last-minute impulse buy near the checkout:
Cool paper straws. Makes drinking water a little more exciting.
That's my son's mustache glass, by the way.
Much more exciting though, is meeting a blogger friend in person!
On Tuesday, I had the pleasure of meeting Jane from Blondie's Journals.
We'd been emailing back and forth for quite awhile and finally decided to meet
for lunch. We had a gabfest over our meals at The Cheesecake Factory.
Jane is so lovely and sweet. It's funny how you can meet someone in person
and feel like you already know them because you're familiar with their blog.
Hope you've had some fun in your life this week!
Your new rooster is so cute! Love the polka dots on him!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Manuela!
DeleteCute little rooster and it looks nice with your collection. That's so nice to be able to meet up with a blogging friend. We really do feel like we know the person after reading so much into their lives and sharing their interests. That's a great photo of both of you. I'll be meeting two ladies this month that I have come to know through our blogs. I'm really looking forward to it. Deb
ReplyDeleteYou will love meeting new blogger friends! I hope you post about it.
DeleteI love your rooster collection. So glad you and Jane got to meet. I haven't made travel plans for the States yet, but when I do, and if we are headed your way, then I will definitely let you know. :) Have a great day! Tammy
ReplyDeleteThat would be so awesome to be able to meet you in person, Tammy!
DeleteLove the spotty chicken. Too fun. I collect too. Isn't fun to meet with other bloggers. You find such great like minded folks this way.
ReplyDeleteCertainly do - and new friends, too!
DeleteVery cute rooster!
ReplyDeleteWe know Jane and her hubby and they are the most wonderful couple!
We met through blogging too, and have been getting together on a regular basis for about 4 years now.
So glad you got to meet her!
Cindy
Jane has mentioned you, Cindy! It would be so cool for ALL of us to get together at one time! I would love to meet you, too. :-)
DeleteDear Melanie, It's so much fun to meet fellow bloggers. I am so happy we met and are close enough to see each other in person. Cute collection, I'll be looking out for some for you! Love, Penny
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, Penny - I love how God brings people together! You just never know. I don't need any more roosters though! (I think. lol)
DeleteYour roosters are adorable and make a great display together. I'm sure you and Jane had a blast together. Cute picture!
ReplyDeleteMary Alice
Glad you like the roosters...and Jane and I did have a great time together!
DeleteWelcome Mr. Rooster! I think I saw his siblings at Home Goods this week. I saw them in red and orange!
ReplyDeleteGlad I got the blue and white one - he matches my kitchen! I love HomeGoods. :-)
