I'm a little late...it's Monday night, but if the days rush as quickly for you as they do for me, I can hardly believe the weekend is over.
We had some mild, sunny weather again - hooray! Too nice to stay inside.
We headed to a small, neighboring town for an art crawl and to walk around in the lovely spring-like weather. Best of all, I got to meet Ginene of Fox and Finch Antiques! She is even more lovely and sweet in person, if that's possible. She gave me a big, warm hug and expressed how nice it was to meet me. The three of us had a wonderful conversation. Her store is in an old bank building with a beautiful assortment of antique and vintage items. Silly me didn't think to have Brian take a picture of me and Ginene until we were in the car on the way home. So instead, you get a picture of Brian. ;-)
Brian found this in a vintage shop ~ read the bottom of the package. If you're missing a heart...
On Sunday, our travels brought us to Tim's place to visit with him...we all love his roommate's dog, Stanley. He's so sweet, obedient, friendly and full of personality. He's totally posing and smiling for the camera.
Sunday night, I met up with some friends at Chili's for drinks and appetizers. The young lady on the left, in the middle (aqua hoodie) was one of Phil's coworker-friends. I love that we still keep in touch. I never knew her mom (sitting behind me, with the long brown hair and glasses) until after Phil passed away. We've since become good friends.
A little something I picked up at Target...
First signs of spring in these parts! These are chives in my herb garden.
Mother Nature is such a tease. It's now snowing and sleeting. We're under another winter weather advisory and are supposed to get 4-7" of wet, heavy snow into tomorrow. March is coming in like a lion, for sure.
Nice pictures. Did you get a new camera.
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice that you are friends with someone who knew your Phil. I like your sons roomie. Your husband is sweet. Be careful those dolls can be addicting.
Hugs
I saw the winter weather advisory you posted on Instagram. I hope you stay warm and safe and that you don't steal anyone's heart.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great weekend! I love the photo of the kitty in the sun and shadows; just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat dog does look like he is smiling.
ReplyDeleteLove the post. You look so happy.
ReplyDeleteYou gotta make the most of those good weather moments and it looks like you did just that over the weekend. I met a blog friend over the summer and was so caught up in visiting and hanging out that I completely forgot to get our picture together, too. Darn it!
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely and happy. Hang in there spring will be to you pretty soon.

Melanie,
ReplyDeleteI was still bouncing around later in the day, I was so excited to meet you. Thank you so, so much for coming by. I was so surprised to learn that Brian has worked for so many years in my hometown. I bet we know some of the same people. Okay...that Stanley, that is the sweetest face in the world. He is smiling! You really made my day. Thank you. I hope we can get together again sometime.
Ginene
What a great weekend. The nice weather motivated us to get out and enjoy too. Snow is coming our way as well...I am not pleased! ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely this-and-that post, Melanie...it's always so good getting together with family and friends...and it's must meeting up with another blogger, too!
ReplyDeleteI always knew you were a doll, Melanie. :) How sweet. It sounds like you had a nice weekend. I think it's really wonderful that you still keep in touch with Phil's coworker, it must be good for both of you. I hope the weather wasn't too rough for you. Spring is on it's way.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing good about March coming in like a lion, is the second half of the verse . . . here's hope you had gentle lamb days very soon.
ReplyDeleteWishing you another lovely weekend.
Connie :)
March is my least favorite month. Dirty, cold, icy and wet. Yuck!! At least your chives are showing signs of growth, Melanie!
ReplyDeleteHow nice that you keep in touch with your son's coworker and have become friends with her mother. What a nice photo of the group at dinner!
What fun you have been having. The dog does seem to be smiling. LOL. Wishing a fun weekend, xoxo,Susie
