I've been staying out of thrift stores for the most part lately. I am trying to get
rid of collected "stuff" in my basement as it is ~ I certainly don't need anything else!
Well, the other day as I was passing Goodwill, I had the urge to stop in. I was looking
for a table runner and possibly some spring tops. I did find a table runner and just
one spring shirt, but I also found these bowls:
I am such a sucker for blue and white, especially when it comes to dishes.
And made in England? I'm sold. I also found these bee salad plates. They have
no marks on the back except for "Made in Thailand".
And here's the runner I found. It's reversible, with smaller checks on the back.
Everything - runner, bowls, plates - were only 99 cents each.
Can't beat that kind of shopping!
Hi Melanie. I truly enjoyed looking at your beautiful new treasures!
ReplyDeleteThe prices were so cheap!
I would say they are even cheaper then England prices! And they go so nicely together too! :)
Glad you enjoyed my treasures, Debbie!
DeleteI really like both sets of dishes, but those bees are just cute!
ReplyDeleteI agree!
DeleteSo pretty and who could pass up such a bargain! :)
ReplyDeleteNot me. ;-)
DeleteWOO HOO! You hit a home run with all of your blue pretties. :-)

Thank you, Debbi!
DeleteP.S. I think your Goodwill must be cheaper than ours. I was in there yesterday and I found a candle holder I would have liked to buy. The Goodwill price was $3.99. I turned it over and there was a yellow sale price ticket on the bottom that said $2.00. When I showed it to the GW worker she told me she doesn't do the pricing. So I just put it back on the shelf.

That does happen at my Goodwill, too...some things are way over-priced.
DeleteWOW! Our Goodwill doesn't have nice stuff that cheap! Those dishes are all beautiful and the runner too. You got a whole tablescape. Great buys!

This particular Goodwill I go to has the best stuff and most of the prices are low - decent!
DeleteSo pretty, Melanie. Our Goodwill has nothing that nice or that cheap. I try not to go there anymore because they're such a ripoff for total junk. I'm always jealous to see what you find at yours.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny how Goodwill stores are different. The stores that are junky in my area are Salvation Army.
DeletePretty! Spode retails for a LOT too.
ReplyDeleteI know. I love to look up my Goodwill finds on eBay. :-)
DeleteSuch lovely things! I love the plates with the bees on! xx
ReplyDeleteThanks, Amy!
DeleteBlue and white dishes are my favorite, and your spode ones are so pretty. Both sets are so pretty, but those bees take the honey! Great finds!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Cathy.
DeleteOh I love blue and white dishes. I have loads of them myself. The ones with the bees are so cute. I have never seen those before.
ReplyDeleteYes, they're very unique, aren't they?
DeleteThose are all perfect together! Love the pretty dishes, Melanie!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda!
DeleteWonderful finds.
ReplyDeleteFinding is the fun part!
DeleteHi Melanie, I also have a love of blue and white dishes. They are so pretty . . . how could you possibly resist buying them, especially at Goodwill prices. I love those small bee salad plates. Gorgeous! Great finds.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend.
Your blogging sis, Connie :)
Sounds like quite a few of us love blue and white dishes!
DeleteI am over the top in love with those sweet bee plates. Someone else showed those plates on their blog awhile back and I fell in love with them.
ReplyDeleteReally? You don't remember which blog it was, do you?
