In all my years of blogging with Blogger (nine years! ~ I used to blog under a different blog name), I have only had two problems. The second one is happening now.
I noticed last week that my Blogger signature line was gone. Aggravating, yes, but really no big deal. I did some Google searching to see what the problem could be, but didn't find any answers.
Now my Blogger signature has magically reappeared, but my blog roll that I used to have on the right side of my screen has disappeared! Now that I'm upset about because I used my blogger roll to visit my blog friends.
If anyone has any clue why random things are disappearing from the Blogger Layout, I'd appreciate any help!
Thank you.
I don't have your answer. But I know weird things were happening last week. I just add my signature as a pic. Never knew how to do otherwise.

I am wordpress so I don't have a clue, sorry! But I love the kitty pics! :) LOL they don't seem too stressed about Blogger at all do they ? : )
ReplyDeleteNO idea. Only time that kind of thing has happened to me is if I putzed with the themes. Sorry I can't help beyond that. I suggest Feedly for a blogroll.
ReplyDeleteI just read another blogger saying her Blogger blog roll had suddenly disappeared also. I'm not a blogger so I have no idea why that would happen.
ReplyDeleteMelanie, I just read on the blogger help forum that others have reported it. The answer was: Google staff is aware of this issue and working towards a solution. Thanks for your patience.
ReplyDeleteHope that helps! :) Cute kitties!!
I don't know, Mel, but I've often hear Blogger is terrible when it comes to reporting a problem or getting help. Still, I like it and will keep using it. Whenever I have a problem it eventually gets fixed. I use my blog roll, too. Wait and see is all I can suggest.

Oops! You are now the second person who has said that. Kim (Happy at Home) has had the same problem. As I told her, I saw that there was a notice on the dashboard that said as of the end of this month, the way blog links work would change, but that should have nothing to do with your blog roll. Mine is okay (for now) ... sometimes these types of problems tend to make the rounds. Hope it sorts itself out.
ReplyDeleteMy list has disappeared too. I'm lost without it so I went to my dashboard list and am finding bloggers that I haven't seen in a while. I read your comments and see where this problem has been reported. Hopefully we'll get the lists back soon. Have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteHi Melanie,
ReplyDeleteI saw your post title on someone else's sidebar and came to see if you are having the same problem as I am. Yep, you are. It seems that some of us are and some aren't. How strange. I wish I had an answer for you. At this point I am hoping that it will re-appear as quickly as it disappeared. Like you I use mine to visit friends in blogland. Feeling a bit lost without it.
This has been happening all over, I am not sure what the fix is. Hope you can get it all sorted out.

You're right! I just checked my blog (something I rarely do) and my blog list also has disappeared. The good news is that if that happens to all of them, the problem will probably fixed.
ReplyDeleteI have lost my recent post and link within gadgets...I was just reading about someone else losing their blog roll gadget, too. Did you try reinstalling it? I think my problems are stemming from the new https setting...if something is only http it's incompatible and I haven't been able to fix it. I'm giving serious thought to switching to self-hosted or wordpress because of gadgets I can't replace... Hopefully blogger fixes your issues!
ReplyDeleteMy blogroll has disappeared too, Melanie. I looked around the Blogger help forums that Google runs and it's apparently a really common problem right now. I had something like 60 blogs on mine and I really don't have time right now to recreate it, so I hope they'll be restoring this gadget soon. It was my main way of keeping up with blogs, since Bloglovin' is often really buggy for me. Hopefully we'll get them back this week.
ReplyDeleteI was so tired each night last week after jury duty that I am just catching up. So, it looks like the problem was solved.
