yucky way to start the new year

 There was no celebrating going on here on New Year's Eve. I'm sick. I finally went to the
doctor today to make sure I didn't have bronchitis or pneumonia, and the good thing is that
my lungs are clear. However, I do have the flu.

 I'm a hacking, congested, sneezing, tired, feverish mess. I haven't been this sick
in years and I know this too shall pass, but when you're in the thick of it, it stinks.

 So, just a little note to let you all know that if I'm not blogging for awhile, you
know why. Hope your 2015 is off to a better start than mine!

  3. I'm sorry. It stinks doesn't it. I am glad that you went to the doctor. When the flu ends up in your lungs it's not good. Glad you went and checked. I have streph and that stinks too. Hope you feel better soon.

  5. So sorry to hear that, Melanie. Sending healing wishes. Lots of folks around here passing around colds but I managed to stay clear of it all. Can't remember the last time I actually had a cold or the flu. We never celebrate and are usually in bed well before midnight. Sure hope you get to feeling better very soon. Best wishes and happy new year, Tammy

    1. I haven't had the flu in so many years, that I can't even remember when was the last time I had it! I haven't been this sick since I was working outside the home in a crowded little office and I got bronchitis from one of my coworkers.

  6. Hope you are feeling better very soon. I always think it might be nice to be sick and have an excuse to lay around and not do anything but the truth is I can't stand it! I wanna do what I wanna do, when I wanna do it! I'm going to be a delight when I'm elderly! ;)

    1. I can't stand lying around doing nothing! When you're that sick, it hurts to even read or watch TV. The minute I started feeling better, I was up and about doing stuff. ;-)

  10. Hi Melanie;
    Thats terrible! I hear this flu is a bad one and lasts for a while. Get plenty of rest and drink lots of liquids, thats about all you can do. Thoughts and Prayers are with you. Love and Hugs, Nana
