heart of a home

I think it's the little things around a home that make you smile. Make you realize ~
"This is what makes my house a HOME."

Pretty blue and white teacups and saucers...
(Blue and white anything makes me smile!)

A kitty peeking through the flowers
even though she's not supposed to be on the kitchen table...

A stack of vintage books with a pretty heart atop...

All three cats sleeping in the sunshine, on my son's unmade bed...

My son's decorated bedroom door...

Little "pretties" on display in the kitchen...

Take a look around your own home.
What are some of the things that make you smile?
Make your home uniquely yours?
I'd love to hear about them.

  1. Melanie, your house could almost be mine! Cats trying to climb up where they are not supposed to be, son's bed unmade bed, son's decorated door, blue dishes.... :-) LOL, My son used to have a HUGE hershey bar wrapper taped to his door. And a sign that said his sister was not allowed to enter. And I love blue and white anything too. Are you sure we are not long lost sisters?

  3. Walking into my bedroom after being at work all day and seeing my bed all made makes me smile. Sitting after dinner with my tea and seeing the photos of friends and relatives makes me smile. And sunshine anywhere in my house makes me smile.

  4. How sweet a photo of your kitty peeking through the tulips. Looks like Monkey does what Monkey wants in your home. I think your heart has been held captive. :-)
