Even though fall isn't my favorite time of year, it is my favorite time for decorating. See the round, orange piece on the wall? That was a bland, beige resin rosette that I found at Goodwill. A can of orange spray paint brightened it up and also added some color to the lower wall collection. (Cat toy under the chair not included.)
One of the shelves above the fireplace. The candleholder and the metal bird were both Goodwill finds. Have I mentioned how much I love Goodwill?
Found this charming little bird box last week at a shop in Long Grove...
I dunno about this pumpkin under the wire cloche. I'm not diggin' it. It looks...kidnapped or something, lol.
Still playing around with this buffet arrangement, too. It's too lined-up looking. I've been looking through my boxes of home decor stuff in search of a vintage wooden box and faux pears that I used for display last year, but I can't find them. If you saw my basement, you'd know why.
The green frame around the mirror is something I added a few weeks ago. The orange rosette to the left is the other resin piece that came with the rosette mentioned above.
Everything is so neat and tidy. I have so much stuff (and dust) that it's hard to change up or see anything. I really must get organized. Have a great weekend. :) Tammy
ReplyDeleteIt looks lovely! And I love the orange resin pieces....very creative!
ReplyDeleteIt all looks wonderful. I love your pretty orange pieces, one of my favorite colors and your cloches are all fabulous. Beautiful vignettes. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteHi Melanie,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit and nice to meet you too!
I really love that bird box, what a great GW find. And the cloche looks very pretty!
Come back and visit soon, it sound like we have a lot in common!
Cindy
It all looks so seasonably pretty! I have a pumpkin outside underneath a cloche, and every time I look at it, I'm thinking I don't like it either. Guess I'll have to change it up. I never find anything at Goodwill!

ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your input on the paint color for the bench, I really do appreciate it!
Have a wonderful week!
Hugs,

Great pops of color! I love how you used the space low to the floor to hang stuff!

Everything looks charming, but I am surprised that you are decorating for fall already! I don't do so until October, or until it actually feels like fall. We hit 95 yesterday, with tornado warnings! I like summer to hang on, but even I was miserably hot yesterday evening. That's only because we are too stubborn to turn on the AC this time of year. LOL
ReplyDeleteI remember coming here awhile ago and seeing this pic and getting that idea from you..placing the pictures under your window like that..I'm so glad I stopped by again..I forgot all about it,,lol...Now I'm turning my head and looking at one of my windows..yepper,,I'm doing it!!
